Effective public relations includes creating opportunities for two-way communication with defined target audiences. Examples of traditional PR include large and small networking opportunities such as one-on-one meetings, small group events/dinners, and workshops, seminars and demonstrations. Special events raise awareness as well as the opportunity for engagement; connecting with existing groups, community organizations and events can also provide interaction. Social media provides an opportunity for two-way communication with a variety of audience groups through blog comments, discussion forums and more.
